I have several stainless steel items (from other places) and none of them have tarnished in the two months I have had them. Literally slept in their necklaces and washed their hands with a ring; without fading. I've worn these earrings less than twice (I suspected they weren't stainless steel because the color was too light, stainless steel is usually a light gold color), took them off at night, no sweat, no water, and they're already copper in color . Definitely not stainless steel, but it's a cute piece of jewelery if you plan to wear it all day.
