Review on Set Of 2 - 4.5" Terracotta Clay Plant Pots W/ 3 Legs & Saucer | Indoor Succulent Planters by Jonathan Devarapalli

Not Stoked with the Quality

Bought these planters because they looked cute and were a great price. They arrived well packaged and undamaged with a few minor surface flaws/inconsistencies. However, I'm not stoked with the quality mostly because I suspect they're not truly made of terracotta. The planter walls are pretty thin and both the planters and saucers are extremely light compared to similar terracotta planters/saucers I have from different companies. There are a few small "paint chips" on one of the legs, which reveal a whiteish base underneath. I was under the impression that terracotta is a specific material and naturally has that color, so this leads me to believe these are just painted to APPEAR terracotta. Additionally, my other terracotta planters are all the same color, while these have a much more orange tone. It seems like the whole planter, legs included, was made from a singular mold, so the inside has 3 deeper areas the length of each leg. These leg hollows are lower than the drainage hole, so water could pool in the deep leg areas and potentially cause issues for the plant. Compared to my other planters, some of which were similarly priced, these actually look cheap in my opinion, so I would not purchase from this retailer again.

Pros
  • Amazing pots, however I only received one water tray while in the photos it shows two.
Cons
  • Requires additional saucer to protect surfaces from water damage
