Review on πŸ›οΈ Secure Your Sleep: Summer Double Safety Bedrail in Grey - Ultimate Protection for Summer Nights by Amber Westbrooks

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The hinged rail is ridiculously difficult to work on

I wish I could heed the one star rating that says the hinged rail is almost impossible to remove. Instead, I've paid more attention to others who have given 4 and 5 star ratings; They hushed up this issue simply by saying that the pop-up mechanism isn't very user-friendly. It's an understatement - I totally agree with the one star reviewer - trying to lift the pins that engage the rail is ridiculously difficult and extremely frustrating. We just leave the rail up because no one can unlock the pins. Additionally, this slat was easy to assemble and relatively easy to install under our queen-size mattress. However, the presence of an unfolding side was the main reason I bought it. We have many grandchildren who use these splints in our guest rooms - it is a pain in the neck to get out of a bed that uses these splints. As a result, changing blades is not easy either. In the other bedroom we still use an old Fisher Price slat - it's almost thirty years old, but the lifting mechanism that unlocks the slat to fold it down still works like a charm and it requires no effort. We wonder why Summer Infant couldn't do something like this.
