This fixture is really neat and worth buying. I stuck mine in the wall and rotated it so the star field covered the entire bedroom ceiling. I love wavy light movements. When it's red it's like the sun is directly overhead, and when it's blue it's like you're in the ocean. The remote control is great: you don't have to point it directly at the device to make changes. There's a soft green light that stays on even when it's off. Seems like it needs to be unplugged to stay in the dark. I haven't used it with music so I can't comment on that aspect. It can be left on for a long time and never gets hot. There is a noise associated with it, I want it to be quiet. I also wish it had some sort of stand so it could be tilted to fill a space without having to use anything to support it. There's a noticeable pattern in the star field where you can see the curved lines, but if you're not careful you won't notice it. It adds a lot of fun atmosphere. I wish it had a timer that turns off after a few hours. It is great for relaxing light therapy or to enhance the atmosphere at home for parties or bedroom fun. The kids will love it too. They have exceptional customer service. Highly recommended. I actually bought 2.
