I was diagnosed with septic olecranon bursitis in November 2017. It appeared out of nowhere and within 2 days the infection started to spread. A few months of recovery later, my elbow felt significantly better. Ever since then I've been leaning on my elbows on my desk when reading something on the screen. It brought back a lot of bursitis pain. After weeks of trying to kick the habit, I still found myself leaning on my elbow 1 minute after catching myself; Habits are very hard to break! This led me to look for a gel backing for my desk and that's when I found the Jelbow! They arrived yesterday evening (12/07/2018). When I first opened them I was a little surprised because they were about twice as thin as I thought (based on video reviews of them). 6" jelbows are only 3/8" thick, while in photos they appear to be at least 1/2" thick (leading me to believe they show a picture of a 4" jelbow and only 6" in the text on it Have written). I use one on my desk to support myself on my left elbow and the other on my right wrist to keep my wrist off the table. I left the bottom label on the jelbows so I can move them around a bit more easily. They are VERY sticky the first time you use them. They don't look smooth, but rather have blemishes that could be flaws in shape. Hard to say I haven't tried cleaning them slightly elevated as it doesn't bother me much. However, I have found that the stickiness causes my arm hair to stick to my stomach when I raise my arm. Although they are firmer than I thought, after 10 minutes of use I can lean on my elbow without much pain. Perhaps with prolonged use, the pain will go away forever. All in all a great product. I thought they were thicker, but it doesn't seem like I can propped myself up on my elbows enough to fully compress my stomach.
