This alleged leather wallet is not the same. The first time I wore it in my pocket during the day, the coating of some sort of synthetic membrane came off. When I discovered this, the backing material was very swollen and I was able to easily snap off a piece. If that back panel is leather, then it's the worst kind I've ever seen. My guess is that this wallet can last longer if you can keep it in a desiccant and soft pouch so it doesn't experience friction. This wallet is absolutely unsuitable as jewelry. I have already started the return process.
