Review on High-Quality Superlux HD 681 Dynamic Semi-Open Headphones - Boost Your Audio Experience by Doyun Kwon ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It was a bad idea to buy it, the money was wasted.

In general, these headphones are NOT for monitoring and NOT for anything else (just my opinion). I tested the headphones on the Focusrite Solo 3nd gen card. Thank you very much to the employees at Muztorg for agreeing to issue a refund without any questions, because. I thought that I would not be able to return them, because "the packaging is damaged", because packaging = a sheet of cardboard + polyethylene, and how to test the headphones without damaging the "packaging". On their website, support wrote, by the way, that they would not accept such a product, thank God that I decided to come to the store on my own and talk. Also, the staff talked to me quite friendly, shared their experience and advice, for which I also thank them very much. From myself I can add that the most budgetary and good option is Axelvox HD242, but they have an unpleasant headband and put a lot of pressure on the head, but the quality is excellent (IMHO). Now I bought myself a Sennheiser HD 206 on the advice of sellers, but they are still coming to me, so I can’t say anything, I have mixed feelings: on the one hand, Sennheis is a proven brand, and on the other, they cost from 1200 to 1700, which is frighteningly cheap, especially after experience with deluxe. (They also offered to buy some better used ears, take them into service, I didn’t find in my city just better in this price category).

Pros
  • Convenience - after Axelvox HD242, which squeezed out two dents on my head with their pads, they seemed quite comfortable to me and didn’t feel particularly on my head. That's all.
Cons
  • Packaging - At first glance, you already have some dubious feelings about these headphones, because. they are packaged disgustingly, not at all like headphones for monitoring. Even cheap pseudo-gaming headphones are much better packaged. "Oh well" I thought, since again I had experience with Axelvox, which are made in the same factory as Superlux, so I expected the same good quality, but also additionally with a good headband (and the price will be less , SUPERbudget straight). BUT Sound - as soon as I got home, I ran joyfully to test the headphones, thinking that I would be delighted now, but no. I put on my headphones and started to turn on different music in order to evaluate the quality of different frequencies. I was horrified by how sawy the high frequencies were in these headphones. They really SAW their ears, which is even painful to listen to, and low frequencies are almost absent (especially you don’t notice them against the background of how high ones creak).
