Purchase so I can move the USB-C dock away from the computer. Issue with USB-A ports not wanting to connect and HDMI video screen sometimes flickers. With the docking station, it connects directly to the PC without any problems. I tried it with two different docking stations, the result is the same, so it's the cable. You can probably extend the charging cable, but not if you want to transfer data. Update: The cable appears to be polarized. One side is up and the USB ports on the docking station are working, the other side is up and they are not working. USB-C does not have to be polarized. Not very useful if you have a 50-50 chance of getting the correct connector orientation.
