This year I had two bad falls a few months apart and managed to injure both my ankles. After one's brace came off and the other's hiking boot came off, I didn't feel very stable on my feet and was afraid I would fall again and injure one or both again. These braces work well by adding some stabilizing support without being overly stiff. They're a bit difficult to put on and take off, especially for those of us with arthritis in our hands, but I've found that if I pull the sock over socks, I can get the sock off and the bandage will slip off the sock. They also loosen up a bit over time. They fit perfectly in my shoes, don't tear and are comfortable to walk in just socks. They only come in one size, which is not very large. So if you have big ankles they may be too tight. But overall I think it's a good product.
