My mom has recently started buying wholesale jewelry to decorate/sell/make and she already has many of her own in her tiny house! I decided to make this for her as a Christmas gift but wanted to personalize it a bit. So I drew her favorite flowers on it and cut out a piece of dark purple velvet fabric to fit the little square above (for little things you can't hang). Acrylic was easy to paint and I'm sure it could have been stained, but I liked the color of natural wood. Wood isn't heavy, but it doesn't feel cheap either. I love golden hooks and all the ways you can be attached to them! My mother seemed happy too.
