Plastic doesn't last long

This is the second fintie I've bought and will be the last. The plastic holding the top lid magnet broke and the magnet fell out. I've never dropped a tablet with a cover and it's been with me since I bought it. The plastic of the first case broke after 6 months in the upper right corner and no longer holds the tablet. Needless to say I will be looking for a new case!
