Review on Rustic Farmhouse Tier Floating Shelf by Victoria Bryant

Good shelves. Terrible to install

In the preface I will say that they look beautiful and I'm a mechanical engineer so some things really bother me. Included. Installation was a pain. All three shelves were 50 cm long and the mounting pins were about 7/8 inch from the pin to the center of the slot. But all the shelves had different sizes from center to center of the pinholes. From 3/4 to 15-3/16. The slots in the mounting pins didn't allow for this adjustment, so I had to mark each one individually on a die basis, edge-to-center and center-to-center. I'm sure someone using Home Depot shelves could just measure one and assume they're all the same and have some holes in the walls to contend with. 50 pound anchors, which are much smaller in diameter, leave a smaller hole in the wall and are easier to install. You don't even need a drill. So I suggest you buy them, it costs money. Drywall screws are also a bad idea as they don't allow you to adjust the vertical plane as they have a flat head. These shelves also don't have the ability to hold securely to the wall. I had to buy and install some t-nuts and use screws to clamp them down to make sure they don't accidentally come off the wall. Do it. otherwise, stick with something more standard.
