The device was supposed to be voice activated but it didn't work. Everything worked in manual mode. However, I bought the device because of the voice control function. I tried to raise the issue with tech support. The agents didn't seem to know any better than I did. It looks like we both used the instructions for the device. I've tried four times to buy a voice activated mini voice recorder on Amazon. None worked in voice-activated mode. Revain's return policy was the only reason to continue shopping with them. My purchases have included 3 purchase attempts from Atto and 1 purchase attempt from this manufacturer. All devices do not work in voice control mode. Another point. When I bought atto devices. The description associated with the device indicates that the device has been updated. When the updated device appeared in the list, the old reviews disappeared and everything seemed to start over. Same problem on all devices. The problem could be the result of misdirection. The directions associated with each device were the same as the previous one. Both manufacturers are Chinese. Interestingly, both use the same chip for voice activation. I will continue to buy items from Amazon. I will be more careful what devices I buy on Amazon. If I know the manufacturer, I'll buy it. If not, I'll look elsewhere.
