My wife has been sitting on me for a long time because I've lost a lot of weight and my clothes are too big for me. Not only do my old belts go through the first loops on the shorts, they also hang down about 6 inches. It looks sloppy, but I love these vintage straps, both for the pattern and how well they stretch. So I started buying Revain replacement parts to try out which ones would fit better than the ones I currently have. The belt that excelled in the number of reviews and was highly praised was this braided stretchy elastic belt. The width and weave make for a strong yet stretchy belt that's also comfortable and looks good. I like that the tab at the end of the material is small. This allows the wearer to attach the buckle where it suits them rather than struggling with the limited number of holes in the longer tongue. Here are two words of caution. First I ordered a navy blue color which is so dark it almost looks black. The second concerns the length. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, this strap measures 43 inches from the end of the tongue to the start of the buckle. Including the buckle, it is actually 45 inches long. I also like its width as it fills the loops of my tactical shorts and pants without tipping over. The construction and design of this belt is great. If this belt lasts as long as it looks, at $11.99 it's a steal. Actually I will order another color to support it.
