. I have several small speakers here and there, most of which are connected to Chromecast Audio devices for convenient multi-room audio. I decided to walk a little more and I won't lie that I almost choked on the price (I bought it on Black Friday 2018 for $150). Now I feel stupid as this thing sounds absolutely amazing and is totally worth it. It's in a fairly large room (16 feet by 20 feet with cathedral ceilings), but it sounds like there's a much larger stereo tucked away in there. The sound is very warm, which I think Sony has always done well. The battery life is amazing, I only listen for an hour or two at a time, but I haven't had to charge it in months. There's a little button where a friendly voice tells you what percentage is left, very nice. Build quality is excellent overall, and don't believe the promotional photos of people just hoisting it over their heads and tearing up the dance floor - this thing is a little sluggish. would have given up in favor of a lower price. For example, there's a stroboscopic light show that seems more appropriate for a disco barbie than a proper party. It probably cost a lot more than it was worth recording, then again maybe I'm just old and cranky. TL: DR, that sounds fantastic and is worth what I paid for.
