Since the manufacturer's toner is more expensive than the printer and I would rather not buy a new printer every time I needed a new toner, I wanted to find an alternative. After looking at reviews, prices etc I decided to give it a try. So far I can't tell what differs from the manufacturer's starter toner (ie looks great!). Notes: 1. A while ago I bought black toner from a manufacturer. As a result, I did not use the black toner included in this kit.2. I use this at home and only lightly. So I can't say if it handles heavy or frequent typing. As with any toner, there is a risk of smearing the toner when you pull out the protective tab. We therefore recommend doing this in the bin, perhaps with a paper towel or similar in hand. I don't think this product is any worse than any other laser toner cartridge in this regard - just something to keep in mind if you are using it for the first time (many months ago I did it at work for the first time and I'm finished ended up ruining a good work shirt!
