A blanket would be better than this

TL; DR - Save money or go broke on something expensive. A blanket would be better than this. Pros: - Fits our pack and wild (Guava Lotus) - Good to be accessible from both top and side, not just top - Seems well put together, doesn't like to fall apart after a week Cons: - Very transparent. Even in low light, our daughter can see us moving. - False advertising: It's advertised as 95% dimming, but when it arrived the leaflet said it was 75% or 50% dimmed with the side panel up (not 80%). . as advertised here). I personally would estimate a dimming of over 50%. - HOT. While the fabric is technically a breathable mesh with small holes, it looks exactly like a basketball jersey and lets very little air through (although I'm sure air is still being transmitted). When I go to pick up my daughter or lie down with her inside to help her sleep, it's much warmer inside than outside. - Heavy. We use this at home (we have a couple of tall windows that can't be blacked out) but if you were to use this for travel it would require more than its fair share of the weight of a suitcase. - Lightning is loud. While I understand this is probably an issue with most of these types of lids, they are loud enough that I can wake a child trying to close them. that's useless for an object intended to help a baby fall asleep.

Pros
  • Mosquito Repellent
Cons
  • Security
