Not exactly what I wanted.

This product has great potential. Pros: * I like having 10 planets (laughs, 10 astrological bodies) to choose from. Another reviewer said there's only one planet - you have a wheel that you have to physically move to see the planets - it's not on the remote control. * I appreciate having "stars" and different background colors. * There are many options on the remote control * The timer function has many options * There is a Bluetooth speaker - Coolio * Some of them can be dimmed. (more on that later). Cons: Mostly it's the picky stuff that made me want to return the item. Perhaps this is not an obstacle for you - * "stars" are green. * Stars disappear and disappear. There was supposed to be a setting to stop the stars from flickering, but I had such trouble getting to it that it only worked a couple of times in almost three weeks of use.* You can't dim a star. You can darken the background. but the stars burn (appear and go out) or go out altogether.* Generally too bright for a ladies' room. I'm a picky shopper so I wanted stars, a changeable background, the speaker part is cool. I wanted a remote control, a timer, and I thought having different planets to choose from would be a huge bonus. I chose this particular model because it had planets and not others that didn't have planets. Very cool. My girls loved planets. Then why did I return it? #1 was because the stars were green. that worried me the most. Why not white? yellow? Bluish? why GREEN? #2 was that it was too bright overall and it took my girls longer to fall asleep and it was easier to wake up at night when it was on. The brightness could be fading a bit but not the green stars and they were slowly fading and fading which was distracting for my 2.5 year old. Also, in order to position the unit to illuminate the entire ceiling, we had to tilt it a little, and it shone a bit in our faces. Stars as bright as this. If you're a heavy sleeper or have a room with high ceilings, this might work better. Especially if you are cool with green stars.

  • The best gifts for children
Cons
