Review on Maxell Lightweight Open Air Stereo 🎧 Headphones with Dynamic Sound and Adjustable Fit by Jaleel Pruitt

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good mid-range (only); weak cable, do not buy.

As mentioned, the mids sound normal and the wiring looks flimsy and can break. I noticed that the "pull guard" that attaches the cords to the phones is not attached to the cords, is free floating and gives very little protection against cord breakage in my opinion. Also, as others have noted, there are 2 wires, one on each side, giving twice the chance of snagging and damage than the single wire type. It's enough to keep it for yourself, but don't send it back, but don't buy it either. Also, my cheap Memorex phones, that have a cable (slightly thicker), without strain relief, also a different (better) version of the holding frame. This is worn behind the head and looped through the back of the ear. I've found that this style stays upside down with no issues compared to the overhead design.

Pros
  • In-line stereo headphones ideal for portable CD/DVD/MP3/iPod players
Cons
  • Some minor issues
