I had the Apple Smart Cover for iPad 2 and loved it. What I didn't like was that there was no protection on the back so I bought a clear plastic back latch which lasted 2.5 years and is still pretty workable but now I have an iPad Air. Same plastic -Air cushion is almost $13 = no way! I paid $1.50 for the iPad 2 version. Also, I didn't want to shell out another $39 for an Apple smart case, so I stumbled across this all-in-one option. Love the fact that it protects the front and back + if you get the full color version you also get the felt lining for the back, not just the front (which is why I chose these over the clear plastic backed version) . . "Skin" definitely feels cheap but I'm so thrilled with the product and the price - I don't care! Pretty red color, almost no increase in thickness, auto wake/sleep function works fine, the triple coverage needs some getting used to as I'm used to Apple's 4x coverage, but so far no problems and I use it in both keyboard height and viewing height movies. All cutouts are positioned correctly. Of course, this does not offer sufficient protection, e.g. B. from falling, but I have a soft case for it (from my iPad 2) that I just slip it in to carry, which is exactly what I did with my iPad 2, so I fully expected that. After a few weeks of use I'll update and if it's still working fine I'll change my rating to 5 stars. 02/21/14 - Love Love is = 5 stars!
