Although this card table is stable when open, the legs do not open fully, so it looks strange because they are slightly tilted inward and not straight up and away. In addition, the legs are very difficult to close. You have to push the lever really hard to get them to push. Also, they stick out 5 or 6 inches when closed, instead of sitting flush with the back of the chart table. Putting a table against a wall for storage shouldn't be a problem, but it is annoying. Too many flaws to be happy with this purchase. I didn't return it for a refund because we threw away the packaging. In addition, it has a soft surface, which is not specified in the description. It makes solving puzzles very difficult, which is why we bought it in the first place.
