We live in an area where tap water is not very tasty. Buying bottled water is a common thing. We fill our 5 gallon water jugs ourselves and these caps are great. You can turn them on and off and reuse them for multiple bottles. Sometimes we dress them so tight that we have to take them off and then throw them away. But in most cases we can reuse it. We use them to keep the pitcher clean when empty before refilling the bottle. Then when we fill the bottles we use caps to bring the bottles home safely without spilling water and store the bottles until we are ready to drink the water. We have practically dispensed with smaller water bottles. It's nice to help the environment by having access to clean drinking water. It's also a lot cheaper to use large water bottles than to buy crates for individual plastic water bottles.
