I have bought several cleaning kits and the velvet and microfiber brushes are the best on the market. I use both brushes before each use. I've found that the best way to clean my records is to apply liquid to one (long side) of the brush and after a few turns, tip the brush onto the dry side to dry. Wait for it to dry well, then use a microfiber brush to remove static electricity before playing. Another factor I found in my notes is electricity. I had a buzz that was driving me crazy. I found the problem was with the LEDs and fluorescent lights. I bought an A/C power pack for $32 which fixed the problem. A good UPS will work better, but you're looking at $150.
