These earrings are really cool. The packaging was great and very well thought out. They arrived packaged in an earring postcard hidden in a small cardboard jewelry box. They also came with an extra set of backrests in a separate plastic bag. As someone who always loses the back of my earrings I thought it was a sweet gesture and I really appreciate it. The packaging is good enough to gift or keep and use when you don't have space to store these earrings. Earrings are also quite high quality. I bought two pairs, a pair of whales and a pair of owls. In both cases, the figures are solid (not bent), the edges are well finished, and the stand and scratching post seem pretty sturdy. I also didn't experience any discoloration or pain in my sensitive ears while wearing them, so they seem to be suitable for people with a sensitivity to impure metals or nickel. I found the post too long so I wouldn't recommend sleeping in these earrings. However, due to the length, they will definitely fit whatever part of the ear you choose to wear them in. As for the earrings: they're cute, but I'm not sure I like them. The whales are very small, about the size of my little fingernail, and don't have much detail, so someone must be standing pretty close. so you can say what they are. The owls are very detailed, you can tell from afar that they are owls. I find owls a bit big. I would prefer something smaller for owls. Finally, the earrings have a very industrial look that I'm not entirely sure I want in this type of earrings. They're flat, brushed stainless steel, and have a fairly matte finish, so you can't go wrong with the material. For earrings like these (small, cute, animal shaped) I would definitely prefer a more polished finish because the earrings themselves are cute and I think the polished finish suits them better. I would also have preferred the touch of formality that a polished finish would bring. The matte finish is more suited to owls than whales, but I wouldn't mind if both were in a polished finish. I can't deduct a single star as it's not a product defect, just a matter of taste, but that's just my opinion. Like the earrings, they strike a good balance between cute and chic and casual. . I don't think I would recommend them for a child (a polished finish would be better for a child IMO) but for an adult looking for a casual yet slightly whimsical earring for everyday or casual situations this would be a nice choice.
