Our landscape path lighting uses 1156 bulbs. We run them 6 hours a day and the incandescent version typically needs to be replaced annually and costs $76 a year to run. They give more light, better light quality, should last for many years, and cost $8 a year. Form Factor - Yes, they're a bit larger, but they fit into our "mushroom" streetlights and offer plenty of space. Oh, and if we started from scratch we could make our transformer significantly smaller. Even more cost savings.
