Excellent dress! The fabric is not knitted but woven. The skirt has a soft lining. My daughter is 13 years old, she is smaller, I bought size 12 and it fits her. She is also very skinny and usually when I buy her uniform pants I get the skinny version. The dress stretches a little on the body, but not much. The skirt has a lot of volume without a petticoat and is fun to roll around in.
