This alternative laptop cooler is just what I needed. 5 fans keep my laptop's core temperature 20 degrees cooler, helping to dissipate heat. My laptop has no ventilation other than the side port and keyboard/speaker area. I used a dual fan Targus, it's a great cooler, but the fans started screeching when I first turned it on. After cleaning the fans, there was virtually no difference. Replacing the fans would cost more than buying a new ICE COOREL laptop cooling pad. To buy an exact Targus replacement, I could buy three ICE COORELs. Nothing against Targus but I get better cooling for less money so I bought two (one for my HP and one for my MAC). As mentioned, my HP has limited ventilation, as does a MAC, so the ICE COOREL does a great job of cooling and is so quiet I hardly even notice it's running. I also like blue light. Although the ICE COOREL doesn't have many USB ports, I find that the additional port (besides the one I use to power the cooler) is sufficient for my needs. Targus also had a few extra height settings, but the COOREL height settings are basically what I used before. At least I am very happy with my purchases and would recommend this product.
