I've been using Paula's Choice skincare products almost exclusively for about five years. I am 36 years old with very oily skin and enlarged pores. The toner and 2% liquid BHA have greatly improved my skin tone and texture, but I've never found a product that I can wear all day that keeps my skin matte without exaggerating my pores, all the important ones at the same time Provides sun protection benefits. . I have tried every ultra matte foundation, mineral foundation and anti shine primer in the sun. You'll be working several hours, but before noon I'll be reaching for my ubiquitous blotters. So when I read the reviews that it offered an all-day matte finish, I knew I had to give it a try. I applied it to freshly cleansed and toned skin in the morning. It has a slight beige undertone but I have fair to medium skin and it blends perfectly but it doesn't really offer the coverage that a tinted moisturizer offers so you might be disappointed if that's what you're looking for. It was a little shiny but dried after a few minutes. That's when the magic began. After it dried I applied some loose translucent powder and my skin looked perfectly matte and flawless with every pore hidden. I was impressed but the real challenge for me was seeing how long it took for the oil to show up. I couldn't believe it! By noon I was still exhausted! (Did I mention I have very oily skin?) Still matte after two hours. At three o'clock my nose had a slight sheen, but I dabbed it lightly with a clean handkerchief and it looked the same as it had that morning. I cannot say enough good things about this product. An oil check is enough to continue using it. It's great on its own with a little powder, but if you need more coverage I think it works great as a primer under foundation. Complete sun protection is also a great advantage. However, if your skin tends to be dry or you are looking for a true moisturizer, I don't think this is the product for you. I didn't find it to be the least moisturizing. But if like me you're looking for something to wear all day that stops shine and provides sun protection, either alone or under makeup, look no further. I can start buying in bulk just because I never want to be without it!
