I have done many upholstery projects but have never used this type of cord before. I'm a do-it-yourself upholsterer and have always used cotton cord, available at your local fabric store. I wish I knew about this type of cable sooner! That would have saved me a complete reupholstery of the sofa. The cotton cord does not support the shape of the boxing cushions. The cord kept moving out and didn't coincide with the edges of the pillows. And to be honest it just drove me nuts and my decent upholstery work looked amateurish. I will be remodeling another sofa and I'm sure the cushion covers will hold their shape and cording properly.
