Hopefully this will keep the solar panel on the roof. I used to just attach the panel with high-strength industrial tape as recommended and Dicor sealant, but it came loose while driving down Interstate 5 somewhere in Oregon. The panel is now bolted on but I didn't like how it was on the rubber roof so I use one of those on the front to secure it and keep the wind from getting underneath and lifting it up. If I had seen this article before installing my panel, I would have used both the short and longer ones to place the panel on the roof without screws, with just enough surface area to hold it in place.
