Good "temporary " solution, maybe forever

I gave this product "stars" at this price point, not compared to what I would get with an unlimited budget and an interior designer . I honestly don't know how they get clean because they were only on me for 5 minutes. Ease of installation depends on the design of your chairs. I wanted to remove the seats from my chairs, put the covers on, and put the seats back on, and the whole difficulty was building the chairs, not putting the covers on. They were easier to attach without removing the seats, but the landing wouldn't have been as smooth. If you look at them and think they're small, or start putting them on and think they're too small, give them an injection and a few extra puffs. They are very stretchy and actually need to be stretched a bit to keep them smooth. Overall they were easy to fit and looked good - definitely better than the original seat covers. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought chairs with off-white microsuede seats. I'm at a point in my life where I really need to know better. In the photo one chair with and one without cover. Stains from water spilled on it and after using an upholstery cleaner to prevent the stains from moving. There are two adults in the family, so I was looking for something fairly simple and cheap as a "temporary" solution, and I'm happy with that. I may one day decide to reupholster the seats of the chairs, but if they hold up well I may not be able to. The straps underneath are by no means durable. They're thin, stretchy, with lightweight plastic clips, and certainly won't stand up to rough use. Under a dining room chair, however, they'll probably be fine. Mainly because the original covers on my chairs give these covers a good 'grip' so the whole load isn't on the straps. They close in straight lines and pinch in the middle. I decided to fasten them under the chair with a cross. Everything is very simple if the design of the seat and frame of your chair is not overloaded.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
