This belt is NOT "made of 100% genuine cowhide", as the manufacturer claims and advertises online! It's a kind of flexible plastic material. (This "false or misleading advertising" factor is why I took two stars off my buyer rating.) If you don't care if it's real leather or faux leather, then this belt is probably a good one Purchase. at its relatively modest price because it is very flexible and the faux leather and grain pattern that appears to be "pressed" into the belt's surface look attractive and convincingly realistic. I sent this belt back as soon as I discovered it had no leather in its composition so I couldn't test it for wear quality retention. However, given its impressively soft and pliable nature, I suspect it will hold up well for a lot of wear. However, there is a potential "portability downside" of a belt buckle: This type of buckle works by pushing the metal buckle pin (located on the bottom of the buckle) from the outside of the belt hole through the hole to the rounded "head" The end of the pin comes out through the inside of the belt, leaving a noticeable rounded metal protrusion that protrudes inward (towards the stomach). I suspect that hard metal protrusion worn by people who wear the belt with thick, heavy jeans doesn't can be felt, but it can be uncomfortable if he's wearing light trousers etc. (That's why I deducted an extra star. Rating).
