Love the overall design. Screw it to the edge of my 1200 gallon pond. I did not use the native control unit. Instead I found an adapter for a unique waterproof plug and connected it to a 12 volt power source controlled by a smart plug that can last seconds. I have a 2 second, 4 second, 8 second, and 16 second program of feeding at 8am and 4pm. I turn them on/off depending on the season. It would be great if they had a wi-fi option that would bypass the built in controller and give me the ability to program feedings either based on the average temperature of the month or somehow related to the water temperature as a Koi-Don do not feed below 50 degrees. It would really automate everything. Of course, the app would have to make seconds. Also, the smart switches are cloud-connected, so you need to issue multiple shutdown commands to avoid over-powering. It would make sense if they uploaded the instructions to either an existing controller or another device so the feed would be immune to cloud or internet outages.
