They work fine but the first one I tried didn't work. I checked it with a voltmeter and it was 9 volts. but not the headlight. Simple Tips: - Watch the video and pay attention to the direction of the black and red wires to the light strip with the yellow side up. I'm not sure if it matters (positive and neutral sides of the stripe?) but I once placed black on the left side of the light stripe and looked down with the black and red wires further away from you than that light strip, and the yellow side of get the light bar up. The video makes it easier to understand what I mean. They worked every time. - Trim the light strip to leave more copper tab length at the end. In other words, cut off the center but slightly off center to leave some extra length of copper bar on the light strip used. This creates more space for the crimp contact. - Install the crimp connector with the metal sleeves facing up or on the same side as the amber lightbar. - My glowing strip didn't slide as easily as in the video. So when you remove the adhesive cover, I then use my fingers and an alcohol swab to wipe some adhesive off the tip so it slides into the connector without the adhesive stopping it from sliding. Tape to prevent shorting the 2 metal clips that are still open after you have crimped them with pliers. Unlikely, mine was under a kitchen cupboard and water could short it out if the plug gets wet.
