Quality control - not suitable!

I bought a 16 inch case for my new MacBook Pro and the top doesn't fit. The bottom is snapped in, but the top is like a double-sized sheet on a full-size bed. Every time I snap a corner, the other corner pops up again. I've tried this in many ways to no avail - obviously there are some quality control issues in these cases. Finally, Space Gray is completely opaque and Apple's light doesn't show through, which doesn't bother me too much, but I was expecting it to be translucent.
