I ordered these jars for a balm I make from coconut oil so that it becomes liquid when heated. The jars come with little plastic inserts to prevent leakage, but when I filled a few of these with ointment I set them aside until I was ready to take them out for delivery. When I took one of these it was completely covered in ointment both over the entire outside of each jar and under each jar. Completely useless for my purposes, although the product description says the liners are to prevent leakage. They may work for thick creams that don't run, but I wouldn't recommend them for anything more runny than a very thick hand cream. Unfortunately I didn't use them straight away and the 30 day return period had expired when I did so I can't return them but will use them for collecting seeds in the garden. :-) When life gives you lemons, as the saying goes.
