I needed a portable docking station that I can also use in my home office. I have 2 huge monitors, yeti mic, speakers, webcam, bluetooth keyboard/mouse receiver. One of the monitors only supports the display port. I also connect my system to the Internet instead of WiFi. This kid does EVERYTHING. Plus, I can carry it in my backpack via the clunky docking station I've used before, which required the included external power adapter. This works with both my MacBook Pro and my iPad Pro 11 inch. My mirrorless DSLR is Wi-Fi enabled, but I want photos to open fast enough so that opening the SD card on my iPad is a breeze. I can view photos quickly and zoom in and out better on iPad than on my computer. The design looks great and matches my Macbook Pro and feels like aluminum too. The USB-C cable is durable and both ends are well built so I know it will last!
