I know these are primarily poultry shears but I wanted one that could also be used as general purpose kitchen scissors. It's good! They are very well made, heavy, sharp, convenient to use and easy to clean. I like that you can disassemble it for cleaning and then put it back together. I've had to throw away a lot of scissors/scissors that have come loose in the scissor hinge and then when you try to cut the blades you can't cut anything. Although I haven't had them that long, I've disassembled and reassembled them many times and they still fit perfectly. It will also make sharpening easier, but I haven't had to do that yet. Finally, I had a pair of scissors that started to rust over time, especially at the connection point. I don't think I'll have a problem with these scissors. The company also emailed to make sure I was happy with the scissors. I appreciated it. A good product!
