Review on Hankook Tire Winter i*Pike RS2 W429 185/65 R15 92T by Mateusz Komorowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like the product, the quality did not disappoint.

I needed to get a set of winter tires for a new automobile in the size 255/55/17, and I couldn't find any. Usually I go to Nokian Hakkapeliita - I'm 100% happy. There were a total of 5, 7, and 8 of them. I gave the Michelin x-ice north xin2 tires a shot, but I couldn't get used to them due of how loud they were. It turned out that the price tag on a Hakkapellita 9 in my size was excessively high (more than 11,000 dollars). I decided to get the Hankook Tire Winter i * Pike RS2 W429 255/50 R17 - 7280 after doing research in the form of reading reviews and articles. I didn't start using it regularly until the end of October, so I've put around 40 percent of my mileage on the highway and 60 percent in the city thus far. The balancing turned out quite good. A factory casting that was almost brand new was mounted on 15-20 grams. The run-in was completed as planned, covering a distance of 600 kilometers without putting any strain on the tires (acceleration and braking are both smooth), reaching speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour, and not riding on rails at any point. The tires aren't exactly something to get excited about. In terms of its manageability, Hakkapeliita is superior in many respects. Indeed, Hankook is a decent brand for the price, and in my opinion, it is well worth the asking price. Auto Mondeo 5, a D-class automobile; cumbersome and spacious. The tires have a good grip on the road in general, and the breadth of 235 millimeters enables you to perform better. Drifts have formed on the under-rolled snow, and the correcting systems have been activated. Just fine when served on ice. On the water, porridge is effective; I did not encounter any difficulties, and hydroplaning was not observed. The braking performance of asphalt is good but not spectacular. They begin with a significant skid on roads that have not been washed. On R18 today, a car passed me without slipping, and my anti-lock brakes started chirping. That is to say, while I'm driving on this rubber, I'm not driving entirely comfortable as I did in Hakkapeliit, but I'm also not grabbing the steering wheel in an uncontrollable manner. In addition, I drive quickly and occasionally aggressively (on the highway 140-150 mph, regularly passing other vehicles), which is why it is critical that I can feel the dependability of the tires. In terms of pricing and quality, I believe that the rubber is appropriate for those individuals who drive 100–110 miles per hour on the highway. I give it an eight out of ten. I didn't have access to enough information before making the purchase; there were only two reviews on it, and they didn't really cover much. Since I recently made the purchase, I'm curious to see how it performs throughout the colder months. I really hope that this review helps you decide whether or not to purchase the item. During the course of the season, one or two of my spikes fell out, but this did not affect my ability to drive quickly. Excellent tires.

Pros
  • Cost, acclaim, and peace and quiet
Cons
  • There are a greater number of axle boxes on snow porridge than there are on the tops of competitors.
