Review on 🎧 KBEAR KS1 Earphones: Super Bass Boost, Crystal Sound Stereo, Noise Canceling - Shop Now! by Bobby Blanton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very well done and fun sound signature.

Packaging – The packaging is quite minimal. You will receive the KS1 itself, cables and three pairs of earbuds (S, M, L) in a small KZ style box. I really appreciate the minimalist packaging. Less packaging material = less waste. It's always a plus in my book. Assembly - plastic housing to the sound nozzle, which is made of metal. Despite being plastic, they retain a premium look and feel. The structure and quality of the cable correspond to other IEMs in this price range. It is similar to the standard BL03/BL01 cable but with a slightly thicker Y-connector and a 3.5mm metal L-connector. However, I would go for a more durable upgrade cable. Fit. Personally, I have had trouble with most, if not all, silicone tips, and unfortunately this was no exception. This is more of a problem for me and I don't blame KBear or any other brands for it. I decided to use some extra foam tips I had and had them seal properly. I also chose my own KBear upgrade cable, which I am using on my Tri Starsea after my first use of the stock cable. There's nothing wrong with a standard cable and you can go without an upgrade, but personally I really like the feel of KBear's 16-wire silver-plated upgrade cable and use it whenever I get the chance. To my ears they just disappear. Thanks to the low-profile design, you get a lighter body. Of course, all ears are shaped differently, so your mileage may vary. Sound - Put simply, it's fun. You get a very well-crafted V-shaped sound signature that favors the bass somewhat. Bass - Bass is nice and tight. Not exactly "bass" IEM, but I can't imagine getting any closer in this price range. it definitely packs a good punch. Mid Frequencies. There's some soft bass in the middle, so vocals (especially male ones) tend to sound a bit pulled back, but only on breathier and lower notes. Female vocals sound natural and unobtrusive. The mids are relaxed, but still present and well articulated. Treble is not as tiring as other V-tuned IEMs. In comparison, my Jade Audio EA3 sounds the same as the KS1, however the highs on the EA3 can be so shrill that I have to take a break every 30-40 minutes. You don't suffer from this problem. Soundstage/Split - A more sensitive soundstage in your head, extended from ear to ear. Not as wide as other offerings, for example the Blon BL01 is a bit wider, but the KS1 is better in every other way in my opinion. Instrument separation is good, but the narrow soundstage can make it a little harder to pinpoint each instrument on a specific track. In this case, the singing is in the foreground and the focus. All in all, the KS1 could very well be the best $20 you can spend on a pair of IEMs right now. This will be my new recommendation to friends and family who may want to explore better and fun sounding devices.
