Doesn't hold a charge

I really need this light to hold a charge so I can use it offline. Charging is brief so I basically have to hold it near the plug which is inconvenient so I don't use it for what I bought it for. The remote works, but you really have to point it properly at the device. The colors are good and the brightness is sufficient for daytime use. I will keep looking for something better.
