I have been struggling with the carpal tunnel which effectively immobilizes and supports my wrist for over 6 months following a jiu-jitsu injury. It has a steel bar that goes about 3 inches down from your wrist and about 2 inches up into your palm that you can remove, but one on the outside of your wrist you can't remove. You can adjust the tension with the velcro straps to provide more or less support. I wore it to office work, gardening and sleeping and it relieved the pain and saved me from doing stupid things that could injure my wrist again. Recommended, excellent value for money.
