Yes, there are many items, but of course there are: This is a disassembled piece of furniture with legs, five sides, a door and a drawer. I put it together at a fairly leisurely pace (watching TV, playing with cats, changing clothes, etc.) and it took about 90 minutes. The instructions were very clear and once assembled it looks great and solid and the door and drawer fit together perfectly and work very well and smoothly. (Although it didn't come with the necessary tools as the description says, everything required a Phillips head screwdriver so I wasn't the least bit upset.) The product description clearly states that it requires assembly, it's made of chipboard and costs less than $80 so I'm not entirely sure. something some of the other reviewers were expecting, but this piece has exceeded my own expectations from similar previous purchases and I am very pleased.
