This radio rocks!: Car electronics

It was. Actually the second radio I bought to try and upgrade the stereo in my 2006 Nissan Frontier. The first was Hieha, about the same price, and it was just annoying. There aren't many double dyne sized radios with modern features, but for about the same price this one had it all. And I'm happy about that! Installation was very easy. No drilling required, simply attach the brackets, quickly measure to ensure the depth of the radio is correct, and you're done. The schematic was good too and I bought a Scoche wiring adapter which made it easy to install the plugin. Then the radio. Wonderful. The sound is great and the radio picks up data from the radio station so you can see what song you're listening to. My phone paired with it automatically and the call quality was decent, but the callers I spoke to said the built-in wireless mic wasn't the best, so I installed the included external mic to my booth and was told that the Call quality is great. The sound quality from my end was also good. The off-axis display is also very good, and the touchscreen is as fast as the operating system. Android Auto works flawlessly with it, and the cord was long enough that I could run it through the car's center console and into the storage compartment, holding onto my elbow where I could put my phone away, set it up, and forget about it. Resist the temptation to write and drive. Android Auto works well and can be used for speaking or narration. It's for phone calls, and that's good. The screen also does a good job of viewing movies stored on my phone via a mirror link and that worked too. The audio quality of the music is just great and it also displays the title of the song. You can also use the radio and Android Auto at the same time, and your phone's battery will charge when you connect it via a fast USB port. Additionally, atoto also sells a steering wheel IR remote for about $20, which works amazingly (pictured). It has multiple mounting options - I chose the sticky pad on the handlebars as I had the right space for it and it's spectacular. All controls. With thumb. The volume wheel on the edges is so easy to use. It's worth it if your car is old and you don't have one. +++++ for everything. Well done Atoto.
