I have used the HP Laserjet 4050 for many, many years. Over time, the print quality deteriorated significantly, although the life of the toner cartridge was still considerable. I bought and installed a new fuser kit with new paper handling rollers and decided that a new cartridge should be put in at the same time. When I first started buying cartridges I was surprised at how expensive they were, especially for such an old printer. Then I came across a cassette from TG Imaging. It was fully compatible with HP, had a large capacity, and was only $30! I figured even if it sucked I'd only lose thirty bucks so I ordered one. It arrived in just a few days and I quickly popped it into the printer and printed out a test sheet. The quality was terrible! I knew something was wrong so I pulled it back out and found the plastic screen was still attached to the cartridge. After removing it and trying again I got a perfect print. It's like my 20 year old printer is brand new again! It works great, the print quality is great, and this old printer is still able to print documents like no other. Would I buy more? I bet I would!
