Review on 🎧 C2G 40406 3.5mm Stereo Audio Extension Cable, Black - 3ft / 0.91m by Pamela Jefferies

I used this cable for the first time when I was preparing for a presentation. I connected it to the computer and then to the headset. I could hear noises that were less than half the normal volume. The microphone didn't work at all. So I figured I'd just plug the headset straight into the jack and the meeting would be fine. I did this and the mic still didn't work! I tried the headset on another computer and it still worked. I looked at the jack and it's a 3-wire jack, not a 4-wire jack like I need for headphones. It looks like plugging the cable into the first computer shorted out the audio input or something because I couldn't get the mic to work at all on that computer. I do not recommend this cable at all. The sound quality was bad and it broke my computer! Surprisingly bad product.
