I had an elderly cat that was incontinent. Luckily he used his litter box to urinate (thank goodness) but otherwise pooped "everywhere", including on the furniture. This product works well on fabric, carpet and tile floors. For best results, especially if the stained area is dry, spray the product onto the area and leave for about five minutes before cleaning or wiping the area. If the soiled area is particularly sticky, I spray it down, cover it with toilet paper and let it "digest" the dirt. It may take a few uses for the goo to fully soften. The product has a fairly pleasant smell, not overpowering.
