This RC truck works great. He is fast and responsive. I was very surprised how good it feels and how durable it is. It's definitely an improvement over the cheaper RC cars and trucks you usually find. The motor is a powerful brushed motor and the steering is proportional. The remote control is very responsive and intuitive to use. I tried to add an FPV camera via an open auxiliary port. Unfortunately, although the connector had the correct voltage of 5V, this was not enough to power the camera. He did, however, power another LED. I designed a 3D printed mount for a camera and a second battery. Driving with glasses and camera worked fantastic with my setup. It really adds to the experience. Too bad the aux port doesn't support it. I have successfully jumped over my hot tub with this truck. It is very funny! Oh, did I mention long lasting. He survived the abuse we inflicted on him and continues to work! UPDATE Nov 2020 I bought another one and it's slightly different from the original I bought earlier this year. The scale seems to be a bit bigger, maybe 1:10 instead of 1:12? The canopy is bright yellow with opaque windows so you can no longer see the FPV through them. The case is completely sealed except for the battery - a standard 1600mAh 2S Lipo with a decan connector instead of the lithium-ion battery in the original. There were two batteries included! There's also a fan that helps keep the electronics cool. The chassis is also solid and very solid, with the caveat that you may have to remove a dozen or so screws to access the electronics if necessary. I really love this truck. For the price, it's very hard to beat. Update from August 2021. I got the last truck as a small anniversary present. The new green dome is awesome! It still comes with the same yellow, which is nice to have options. So far my canopies on all of these trucks have been slightly scratched from the heavy use, but none have cracked. They're pretty durable. Go bowling with the trash cans if you pick one up. Very funny! The interior has also changed again! Is there a bigger 550 now? Engine. It definitely gives it a bit more power and power. I gather the courage and try to jump over the narrow part of my pelvis with this extra strength. I just don't want to go swimming. There is also a traditional servo for the steering, making it easy to swap out if the need arises. The receiver fan was replaced with a radiator. I'm not sure what effect this will have. The receiver has an available 5V power connector and is also available on the headlight. I was able to turn on a little LED set, so that's cool. Some areas of the joints look slightly different. As before, the kit included 2 lipo batteries and even AA batteries for the remote control. All of these trucks can be controlled from any of the remote controls. This is great if you want to swap or just bring a remote control.
