Review on πŸ”§ Faithfull Spokeshave Twin Pack: Versatile Set with Flat and Round Blade by Shawn Mcfee

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not as advertised. Low quality.

Not as advertised. This package is concave and convex. There are no apartments. The description says but the title is round and flat. I would like someone else who previously gave this 1 star to post photos/videos before I waited weeks for the package to arrive. The back of the packaging confirms that there is no product that packs two razors together where one is flat. This is a "double" package. Both tools share the same single screw, which is difficult to adjust (the dual adjusters pictured allow you to make relatively fine adjustments to both sides of the plane). I have used other needles that hold when hand tightened. It really requires a regular screwdriver to clamp them tight enough that they don't move. In both cases the knives were sharpened incorrectly. It's not just about wet/dry grinding or sanding. In both figures, the plane of the iron is perpendicular to the handles. You can see that the "round" is tilted to one side when the top of the mouth is level and the bottom of the blade is sticking out at least 1/8" to 3/16". The other blade has both ends (pointed) when the center is flush with the bottom of the plane and deviates from the points by almost a quarter of an inch. Part touches the workpiece (and bites off more). Since they're both curved, you don't have to just put them on the mill and make them roughly square again. I think one could spend most hours using flat and round files to align with the base of each tool. Too much work for me; They return.
