We tried to recreate the scenario that could occur if the bag is kept in the corner of the room. We place the charcoal bag near but not within reach of an actual flame length. While the silicone-coated case material seemed to hold up to our brief test, the yellow reflective strip caught fire in the first few minutes and the stitching closest to it soon came undone. We completely removed the bag in just under 6 minutes (see attached video). We originally intended to fit this bag into a large Alorva satchel, but this model was out of stock at the time. I'm sure the extra protection of the outer bag will probably more than double the fire resistance. The bag will definitely be a bonus for protecting documents in a real fire safe.
